BACKGROUND:
Background
On January 16th, 2024, members of VEMA came before the City Commission to request support/assistance regarding a Memorial Day event that is planned for Monday, May 27th, 2024, at City Hall. The purpose of the event is to provide an opportunity for members of all branches of the military to come together and recognize and honor those who have given their life in service of our country while providing support for current veterans and active members of Deltona and West Volusia. As part of the event VEMA will have multiple food trucks, merchandise vendors and a band providing live music for those in attendance.
