Background

On February 5, 2024, the City received a resignation letter from Luis M. Leal who was the City’s representative to the TPO’s BPAC. The City has been looking for one (1) individual interested in serving as the City’s representative to the TPO’s BPAC. The Committee consists of 26 voting members made up of private citizens. The BPAC meets in the Airline Room at the Daytona Beach International Airport on the second Wednesday of each month (except July and December) at 2:00 p.m.

The mission of BPAC is to: “Create and implement a regional plan for the continuing enhancement and expansion of the bicycle and pedestrian network. We will support activities that encourage and provide for a safe and balanced transportation system that promotes connectivity, mobility, health and an improved quality of life.”

The City has advertised the vacancy and to date has received applications from the following interested individual: Victor Ramos.
