BACKGROUND:

Background

Funding of $230,000 remains in the project and the additional $30,000 is available in contingency funds for wastewater as approved in the FY 25/26 budget as approved by the City Commission.

This change order is to relocate and replace existing pumps and provide new internal recycle pumps.  After startup and operational optimization of the changes, it was discovered that the existing Equalization pumps were not adequate to produce the correct amount of flow, and it was also discovered that the newly placed Internal Recycle pumps were oversized but could not be adjusted down enough to produce the required consistent flow. To solve these two (2) issues, this change order will relocate the new eight (8) inch Internal Recycle pumps to the Equalization tank with associated pipe work and purchase and install smaller sized six (6) inch Internal Recycle pumps and associated pipe work.

ITB No 22046 was competitively bid as a Capital Improvement Project to change the wastewater treatment process at the Fisher Wastewater Plant from Contact Stabilization to Modified Ludzack Ettinger for nutrient reduction.
