BACKGROUND:
Background
The Parks & Recreation Department has allocated monies in the budget to replace multiple park maintenance vehicles this fiscal year. The City has a policy in place that all vehicles that have either reached 10 years in service or 100,000 miles are eligible for replacement. The following five (5) vehicles meet or exceed the City’s replacement policy for years of service and/or mileage: #0561 (19 years), #0922 and #0923 (15 years) #0924 (15 years), and #0925. The department has allocated $400,000 for replacement vehicle procurement in the FY24/25 budget. The quote received from Duval Ford references the FLORIDA SHERIFFS ASSOCIATION LIGHT VEHICLE CONTRACT FSA 24-VEL-32 . This Florida-based government contract enables the City of Deltona the ability for a direct purchase.
