BACKGROUND:
Background
The Statewide Mutual Aid agreement is in the process of being renewed. Cities and counties in the State of Florida are vulnerable to a wide range of emergencies and disasters that are likely to cause the disruption of essential services and the destruction of the infrastructure needed to deliver those services. Such emergencies and disasters often exceed the emergency response and recovery capabilities of any one county or local government. This agreement allows the City of Deltona to request resources from across the state during such emergencies when our resources are overwhelmed.
