BACKGROUND:

Background

The Streetlighting Services System is based on operational and capital needs and is funded by fees levied to the property owners in the City for Fiscal Year 2026-2027 of $177,861.

Section 54-253 of the Code of Ordinances requires that the City Commission adopt an Annual Rate Resolution during its budget adoption process for each fiscal year.

The attached Resolution only establishes the maximum streetlighting annual assessment per parcel for FY2026/2027 for Streetlight Assessments to be included as part of the annual Truth in Millage Notice (TRIM) per F.S. 197.3632.

City Commission as part of the TRIM process will set the final Annual Assessment at the September 9 Commission meeting.
