BACKGROUND:

Background

Annually the city performs various sanitary sewer rehabilitation of gravity sewer lines, manhole rehabilitations, and other various pipelines and conduits through contracted services in the amount of up to $1,000,000 budgeted each year. These services include CIPP lining of pipes to improve structural integrity and reduce Infiltration and Exfiltration to and from the sanitary sewer system. These services reduce the amount of groundwater that leaks into and out of the sanitary sewer system through defects in the aging system extending the useful life of the pipework currently in place throughout the sanitary sewer system. A blanket PO is necessary as these services are prioritized based on findings through CCTV inspections and are performed based upon linear square feet that are accomplished throughout the fiscal year. These funds are budgeted.
