BACKGROUND:
Background
The Halifax Crossing Planned Unit Development (PUD) was originally approved as a Business Planned Unit Development (BPUD) on September 15, 2014. In 2022, the property was amended to Mixed-Use Planned Unit Development (MPUD) to support a broader development vision. An application has since been submitted to amend the current Mixed-Used Planned Unit Development (MPUD) to introduce a new Development Map Alternative (Option B) and reduce the minimum lot size requirements for commercial parcels. The proposed Option B shifts the development emphasis by reducing the total number of multi-family residential units from 809 to 575, eliminating age-restricted housing, and expanding commercial acreage from 21.1 to 75.71 acres.
