BACKGROUND:

Background

Under s. 163.3177(3)(b) F.S., the Capital Improvements Element of the Comprehensive Plan must be reviewed and updated annually.  The Capital Improvements Element (CIE) Report is sent to the Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) when it is adopted by the City Commission each year. City staff has reviewed the current capital improvements for the next five years. The review intends to ensure compliance with the adopted level of service (LOS) standards and is accomplished in collaboration with the City’s Finance Department, Public Works Department, other City Departments, and other agencies.

Please be advised the Five-Year Capital Plan and project descriptions are copied from the City budget approved by the City Commission in September of 2023. The budgetary information cannot be altered or modified as part of the CIE update process.
