BACKGROUND:
Background
The proposed amendments to Chapter 74 and Section 110-814 update the City’s Land Development Code to comply with Senate Bill 954 (2025). Establish a reasonable accommodation process for certified recovery residences, which are safe, sober, and supportive homes for individuals recovery from substance use, clarify that these residences are residential uses for zoning purposes, and ensure compliance with state certification and applicable. The Planning and Zoning Board recommended approval 7-0. Staff recommends approval at first reading.
