The Florida Department of Environmental Protection has mandated that the Fisher Wastewater Plant be converted to Advanced Waste Treatment to continue operation. The initial engineers estimate for construction of this project is $44 million dollars. To assist with funding, staff has pursued many grant sources. This award is from the Department Of Environmental Protection for Water Quality Improvement in the amount of $22 million dollars, with a equal match of $22 million dollars form the City.
