BACKGROUND:

Background

In order to evaluate the internal conditions of the sanitary sewer system, a CCTV camera truck is utilized which includes a physical truck, computer, and camera system. The conditions in which the camera system is used is very harsh, requiring frequent service and maintenance. During these times of service and maintenance we are unable to evaluate the internal conditions of the sanitary sewer system. The current truck is serviceable but has aging technology. The current camera truck and system is fully amortized. It is the intent to use the current CCTV truck and camera system as secondary equipment.  For the FY 2024/2025 this item was budgeted at $550k. Grant funding was applied for but not awarded. The City received a quoted price of $498,609.94 from the Florida Sherrif’s Vehicle contract which is a competitively bid contract in compliance with the City of Deltona purchasing policy. The actual price of $453,108.00 is after a $45,501.94 discount as an existing customer. The City of Deltona - Deltona Water utilizes CUES software & hardware, thus necessitating the need to purchase the replacement equipment from CUES.  CUES is the sole source of genuine CUES Replacement Parts & Service.  CUES is the sole manufacturer of the K2 Summit and Granite Net video/footage capture systems.
