Request approval for award of bid for the Lift Station 7 Rehabilitation project to Clearwater Solutions, Inc in the amount of $1,512,602.34. This amount is over the estimation that was budgeted. We will be transferring $250,000 out of Lift station upgrades to cover this cost.

BACKGROUND:
Background
The lift station at 1676 West Waycross Circle known as Lift Station 7 has reached its useful life expectancy and requires replacement. This lift station has historically been situated between 1676 West Waycross Circle and 995 West Waycross Circle. The City purchased the residence at 1676 West Waycross Circle to be utilized for the rehabilitation of Lift Station 7. Lift Station 7 is a master lift station handling a significant portion of sanitary sewer flow that is in need of rehabilitation to accommodate current and future flows to avoid Sanitary Sewer Overflows (SSO) per FDEP regulations.
The City solicited bids for the requisite rehabilitation of Lift Station 7 as well as other critical infrastructure associated with the project. The bid was broadcast to 676 companies and there were 60 plan holders. Seven (7) bids were received for ITB#24009. Clearwater Solutions, Inc. submitted the lowest & most qualified bid in the amount of $1,512,605.34.
