BACKGROUND:

Background

The inventory and asset management software is vital to bring the manual processes online - saving time and resources.  The scanner will provide increased accuracy with bar code scanning, eliminate paperwork and information redundancy.  In order to utilize the equipment in the Deltona Water warehouse, Internet access must be installed. The Finance Department budgeted $15,000 for inventory and asset software, scanner and barcode printer in the FY2024 budget.  This cost was based on a quote from a prior year.  The project had been delayed and the updated quote was higher, due to a price increase, as well as a request for and additional scanner and bar code printer for back up for staff and in the event of mechanical failure.  Internet access in the Deltona warehouse must be installed to utilize this this equipment.
